Health Savings Account
The purpose of a Health Savings Account is to pay, on a tax-free basis, the qualified medical expenses of an HSA owner and his family.
To be eligible for a Health Savings Account, you must generally:
- Be covered under a high-deductible health plan (HDHP)
- Not be covered by any other health plan that is not a HDHP
- Not be entitled to benefits under Medicare
- Not be eligible to be claimed as a dependent on another person's tax return
- Minimum Deposit to Open: $100.00
- One time set-up Fee: $25.00
